No nonsense disability workshops for employers

At ‘B-Reason-ABLE’ we are really proud of our heritage.  That’s why we decided to create a range of disability workshops where we can provide you with good honest training.  We are very excited about what we have produced, and we really hope that people will enjoy taking part in them.

All our workshops are no nonsense, down to earth practical and engaging.  We will try not to overwhelm you with all the legal stuff, the Equality Act is our bible but will only reference it when we need to.

Please browse the list of our extensive range of workshops below and get in contact if you want to find out more.

Not just another course about the Equality Act. We won't lecture, and we won't point fingers. We will educate and explain why it is important to understand the ways the Act can support disabled people in all areas of their lives from the built environment, access to services and employment.

The Equality Act

We will help employers understand the need for providing reasonable adjustments for disabled employers and bust a few myths on the way.

Reasonable Adjustments

One of the biggest myths: employing disabled people is a lot of 'hassle' and 'expensive'. This workshop will show you the many benefits to employing disabled people. Using the benefits of 'positive action' employers can target the recruitment of disabled people.

Recruitment

We will look at how employers can create in inclusive workplace. An holistic approach which takes in account all aspects including: workplace culture, the physical environment, employment policies, reasonable adjustments and employee resource groups (ERG)s etc.

Employee Retention

A general awareness of how great the world can be for those of us with a disability. By busting the myths, this workshop will provide an overview of the different 'types' of disability, overcoming the barriers disable people face, and advice on ways to reduce the chances of discrimination.

Disability Essentials

A unique workshop that highlights disability from a global perspective. Based around some work that we did recently, we thought that it would be an interesting insight into legislation (or lack of it) in other countries and how they support disabled people in society and in employment.
